Internet Marketing - How To Beat Google Adwords

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

Pay Per Click Marketing can allow affiliates to create an almost automated way of making money online but for most, diving into the PPC world can see them breaking the break before they make a single sale. Unfortunately most people that begin PPC advertising do not have a thorough understand of the basics and fundamentals of how to turn a small investment and risk into a successful marketing campaign. While not all campaigns will be profitable, limiting the damage, reducing costs and applying changes on the fly are imperative for online success.

Want To Beat Adwords and slap Google Back? beating adwords

One of the biggest mistake marketers make is paying for keywords that are too board, simply put, using keywords that are not highly relevant and highly targeted. Not only will this see expensive clicks chewing their your budget but lower the chances that those clicks will lead to conversions. For example, if you were promoting a product to teach people how to train their dog, using a keyword such as “dog training” would cost you an arm and a leg. You must think like a potential customer and get in their mind, walk in their shoes and examine how you would search Google or Yahoo. In the example above, targeting people looking to train their german shepherd dog by using the keyword, “how to train a german shepherd” is not only highly target but extremely relevant, visitor will land on your sales page that’s promoting a dog training program for their particular breed of dog. It will allow you to create ad groups and campaigns that are razor sharp and targeted perfectly for your market. If you were promoting a dog training program you could have various landing pages were slightly different keyword variations and images promoting to different dog owners. This would speak directly to the visitor and lead to higher conversions as you are providing them exactly what there are after.

Using long tail keywords that are very specific tend to cost less, have higher CTR, and less competition than broad keywords. Obviously there are other factors involved such as your ad copy and landing page and having them as aligned as much as possible with your selected keywords but the lesson here is to have keywords that are highly targeted and relevant. The better the continuity from keywords, ad groups, ad copy and landing page the better your chances are to see the type of conversions that will bring you a high return on investment.

Learn how to: improve google adwords score

Get into the mindset by taking the search you do on a day to day basis and making note how you search and how others you know search. Do you tend to be more specific when entering keywords into your searches? Well, most people tending to ask questions or ask for solutions for their problems. Use this and create ad groups that are themed with long tail keywords (keywords with 3+ words).

Long tail keywords will allow you to capture leads, whilst they may not drive as much traffic to your site as you wish, you must remember that the aim of the game is to convert visitors into buyers not attract people who have no interest in buying what you are selling. If you are in the mindset that more traffic is better traffic you must break that cycle unless you want to break the bank and pay for click after click without making a profit or worse, sending you broke. Quality, highly relevant and targeted clicks is what you should aim for, you will notice the difference in your costs and conversion rates.

Traffic Getting Strategies (Part I)

Saturday, September 5th, 2009

You should probably know that traffic is the lifeblood of any online business. After all, what’s the point of having a beautifully crafted websites that sits amongst the millions of websites without any visitors?

Here’s a quote from a famous person about traffic..”A website without any visitors is akin to a retail outlet in an old run-down shopping mall. Without any walk-in traffic except for perhaps the occasional housefly…” Ok I’ll be honest here. I made up that quote. But I am sure that you know it’s true.

Hence for this article, I will share some methods of driving instant traffic to your website. Do note that some of these techniques might require a small investment on your part. But the beauty of it all? It’s traffic that’s instant. And it will free up time on your hands to continue with other more important tasks. Furthermore, these are strategies that don’t break the bank and should give you good results, but it is always good to test results on a smaller scale, before ramping up your spending on any strategy.

Traffic Strategy #1 - PPC or pay-per click advertising.

This has got to be the most popular form of paid advertising for Internet Marketing. This can really be a boom or bust, in my experience with it and from what I’ve seen and heard from many other marketers. There are people and businesses that are generating thousands of dollars a day just from pay-per click advertising. There are plenty of people who are also losing a lot of money each day from pay-per click advertising. Discover PPCKahuna.

The first thing that people do wrong is that they sign up for a new account and don’t find the coupons. There are $50 and $100 coupons that you can use when you first sign up at Google and Yahoo. Any traffic that you get from that is essentially free. The second mistake that people make is that they don’t set their daily spending limits and campaign spending limits. Make sure that you set these. Doing these two things will help you save money and be more profitable. Learn about Google Ambush.

From experience, you should always try testing google’s content network and not the search network. Know Adwords Digger. Start with bids from $0.50 and then reduce it to around $0.20 or lower. Yeah yeah we know that other PPC marketers always talk about using the search network first. But those bids can be crazy high. And with the content network, you can test dirt cheap bids and still get a positive return on your investment. . What is it worth to have all the traffic you want delivered to your website at the push of a button? Targeted traffic at the push of a button! This is what PPC is!

PPC Advertising: Questions Answered

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

Pay-per-click or PPC Advertising is growing in popularity by the day and rightly so, owing to its effectiveness in bringing to you targeted traffic. It is also easy on your pocket. Now, if you are hearing this for the first time, if you have any doubts about it, or if you simply want to know more about it then you need to read on and find out.
What makes Pay Per Click advertising popular?

There are several reasons for this. It allows any home business or any small endeavour to enter the market with larger and already established enterprises. You do not need to put in a lot of work to get started. All you do is open your account with the company of your choice, then write an ad that has relevant keywords, and then submit it. That is all you need to do and you will have enough traffic coming to your site.

Besides that, the traffic you get is not just any random traffic, you are able to get relevant and highly targeted traffic coming to your site. Therefore, then it depends on your site whether you are able to convert them to customers or not.

How does this work?

It is simple. You bid on specific keywords that are related to the content of your website. For example, if your site has something to do with home-based business then you will bid on “home business work at home make money home based” and the list continues. You need to try to get as many combinations as you can. The bid is on the basis of each click on your relevant ad. You should bid on keywords that are relevant to your website so that you can ensure targeted traffic to your site.

How to select the company for Pay Per Click advertising?
You can look for such a company that will allow you to bid a minimum of $0.01 to $0.05 for each click. Even if you are not flooded with visitors, you will still have decent traffic. This is better compared to going for a bigger company that will give you almost same traffic only with a bigger price tag.

Some sites will offer you free traffic in return of you including their search bar in your website. You will earn points every time somebody performs a search. Such a site should state that they have protection against any click fraud. If they do not say any such thing on their site then beware.

Thus, PPC advertising is a very simple and cost effective way to improve your business.

How To Choose The Most Profitable Niche Markets

Monday, August 10th, 2009

In this article I will be discussing the difference between various markets that you can profit from…

There’s TWO Types of Profitable Online Markets:

1. Mass-markets where there is a TON of demand for one-off purchases

2. Specific markets where the average customer value is sky-high (since they usually purchase multiple products)

In my case, one of my most profitable overall affiliate campaigns has been in the “public records” industry - where people search for background checks, property records, bankruptcy records and so on.

This is a perfect example of a “Mass Market” where - though the average customer value is probably around the $25 - $35 mark, there is so much traffic volume - and so many topics from which to drive traffic - that generating traffic & sales is very easy.

In addition, with the “mass market” offers, you don’t really need to pre-sell or otherwise make a case for the products or services, which are generally very straightforward.

You just drive traffic to the merchants and get paid. End of story.

This market alone accounts for a good 6-figure chunk of my affiliat income.

Other SIMILAR markets that will have similar results would be things
like dating, ringtones, gaming-related products, etc. There is a
virtually endless amount of traffic (and content choices) in markets like these - and the selling process is easy.

Now, the trade-off when you promote “mass market” stuff is that your conversions will typically be low, and your client base doesn’t really want to “connect” with you.

Meaning that building opt-in lists is, generally, not a good idea in some of these markets - and certainly not in the public records industry (where the client typically wants to be anonymous).

So it’s all about NEW traffic, fresh sales, etc. It all comes down to continual influxes of search engine traffic.

HOWEVER -

I also recommend that you go after the “Type 2″ markets, where you CAN build opt-in lists, and where selling to customers multiple times is not only viable, but expected.

And in addition to that, there is some crossover. Some “specialty” niches are ALSO mass-market, with literally endless amounts of demand, traffic and topics around which to build content.

These include things like:

- Learning Musical Instruments (Guitar, Piano, etc.)

- Fitness & Weight Loss

- Beauty/Cosmetic

- Investing, Trading, etc.

- Real Estate

And so on.

So in this case, you can build up tons of traffic, see higher conversions and avg. client value - AND build up a list (and do so fast).

Keep this in mind when you’re choosing what kinds of sites to build, and what to promote.

The idea is to get into markets where you can build truly endless amounts of content - therefore building up massive amounts of traffic in the process, and sales.

Your market depicts how much traffic - and money - you can generate.

Linking and SEO alone does NOT.

Always remember that :-)

PPC Evolution Review

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

Your membership will allow you to use this powerful, one-of-a-kind Adwords software tool that completely automates the profitability of your Adwords campaigns. Simply enter your settings in seconds, including your Adwords account information and product price point, and the software will do the rest! This is by far the most powerful piece of software ever created for helping people get the most out of PPC.

PPC Evolution will automatically decrease or pause traffic to keywords losing you money, while identifying and increasing traffic to keywords that make you money. If you’re spending $500 each month on a keyword only making you $100, the software will automatically identify that and decrease the budget or bid on that keyword, or completely pause it if you wish based on your settings. On the flip side, if a keyword costs you $500 monthly and is making you $2,000 a month, it will automatically increase the budget for that keyword, while tracking to ensure that your profit margin has increased! With all of this you really can’t go wrong.

In addition, PPC Evolution can show you detailed information on each keyword (total costs, sales, profits, etc.) But you literally won’t have to touch a button because it automatically adjusts your campaigns to track and adapt to changes in real time! Check out my PPC Evolution Review for more info on this. I have added several review videos to give you more info on PPC Evolution.
