WHAT REALLY SEPARATES THE FULL-TIMERS FROM THE WANNABES?

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Going “full time” for me was nearly accidental. I had been involved in various projects on the net, mostly my own “ideas” and such, or innovations of some kind that I was sure were going to be a big hit.

And you know what?

I always had no problem getting ranked, getting traffic, etc.

It was child’s play.

But what I DID have a problem with - and a big one - was actually making a living out of it. I sure had some nice traffic stats, and lots of compliments from my visitors, etc - but the proverbial “gas tank” was running on fumes.

I EITHER HAD TO FIGURE SOMETHING OUT OR ABANDON “THE DREAM”

(Perhaps this sounds familiar?)

What happened next blew my mind. It involved me trying something one day (out of boredom) that took roughly 20 minutes to execute, and it promoted a product I would have NORMALLY never dreamed of promoting.

Or even thinking about.

Because I had subscribed to the belief that I needed to dominate my own little niche and do something totally “unique”.

That belief rapidly changed when my little 20-minute boredom inspired “test” made me $9,100+ in a single DAY.

And about $18K that month.

It blew my freakin’ mind.

That was more than I’d made (in profit) in my ENTIRE online career up to that point, even after 2 years of hard work, late nights, lots of traffic and “impressive” rankings, etc.

And it was from something that took me 20 flippin’ minutes to do.

As you can imagine, my direction just slightly changed after that point, and I began to focus my efforts around things that I KNEW were already selling.

Selling what people buy.

Quite the concept - and it works like crazy…

MY GOAL WITH THIS ARTICLE IS TO MAKE SURE YOU SEE RESULTS.

Not just “traffic” or rankings, that alone is not enough. Take my word on that one…

What it takes is knowing WHAT to promote, and how.

Because THAT is the only difference between going full-time or staying in “dream mode”. And it’s also a much easier switch than you might think.

Although there is some learning curve - but I’d say it’s worth it…

Alright - moving on…

What I am suggesting here is a business model that’s based on earning a profit based on the market value of the websites you build - and NOT just from their revenue…

You earn basically double what the sites would traditionally, and you can even sell sites that earn NOTHING for a nice little sum.

I personally think this is something that you should do as you start out in this business, because it’s the closest thing to a “guaranteed” income that exists as a marketer.

Largely because your income isn’t so dependent on marketing performance, which WILL take time to learn, etc.

(Even after my $18K “explosion” month, it still took a long time for me to “get it” and start earning good money consistently).

So if you’re interested - check it out in more detail at:www.ProfitLoopHole.com

I should state up-front that this course is a “no frills” exposition of his proprietary business model and processes. By no means is this some sort of “mega package” with hours of learning.

On the contrary, it’s a workable, “connect the dots” business model that works, has always worked, and will work.

This in-depth course is the brainchild of Dave Kelly the creator of the now famous backlinking service known as Linkvana, you can find a full review of the product on the Rich Jerk review site

Pushing Your Reciprocal Link Building To The Finest Advantage For Your Newborn Website

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

Even if reciprocal link directories are not my favourite way of producing inbound links, they are a very worthwhile way of starting to market a brand new website and building a quantity of link popularity, and with any luck various traffic in the form of likely buyers. But what is the best way of optimising link building?

Most people will place a link onto their home page that says ‘links’ and point that to a landing page for their links directory, perhaps the add links page if they want to make it easy for prospective link partners to find out how to be added. But this is the mistaken way to go about it. It’s hiding the content of the links directories and burying the links pages deep in the site, away from the home pages. This means that the links pages have less load in the terms of Page Rank and aren’t genuinely aimed at your site’s visitors.

So what happens if you spin this around? Rather than creating a huge directory of links and burying it away, create a small directory of constructive sites and show it off. Link to the directory pages from the site’s chief navigation bar. Forget the add links page and the directory landing page. basically link to the actual directory pages. From there link to the add a site page.

plainly keep to categories that are really associated to the site and that may perhaps interest visitors to your site and that you can be able to send traffic to. Make it a genuine part of the content of your site.

This way, the search engines are less possible to penalise you for having a links directory and more possible to set up to list the directory pages and offer it a page rank. This will mean that more allied sites are expected to locate your site, with any luck those who have also well organised their sites.

Once you unearth that your directory pages are page ranked, you may perhaps then begin to necessitate that people linking to you do so from page ranked pages on their sites. By rejecting and deleting those link exchanges that are from grey barred pages, you are doing yourself a considerable favour and giving your self a huge search engine boost. Having a small, well organised directory of a few applicable sites from related content sites is more apt to impart your site a lift that a huge directory with thousands of links swapped with sites that are totally irrelevant, and almost certainly submitted by people being paid to create junk links for site owners that know no better.

It may well go against the grain of normal links building, but it should be a better way to locate a lot of quality links instead of even more hollow junk links. Don’t forget there are working from home ideas over on the blog.
