Blog Commenting Tips

Blog commenting is the new “secret weapon” of the modern day internet marketer and for those of us who make money online blogs have become a key aspect of staying on top of the SERPs. Now if you spend most of your day learning and practicing website marketing then you must understand blog commenting. If you want to run a successful marketing campaign then when blog commenting you must not specifically promote your website, service, or product. When you bring blog commenting into your promotion respect the blogger and add valuable content to their blog by either asking a relevant question about the post or agree, but when agreeing don’t write a short generic comment such as good post or I agree.

When blog commenting remember that there is no one marketing technique that will be the key to success. You should really try to use as many different practices and techniques as you can making sure that they are white hat. When you are trying to gain rank within the serps I recommend social bookmarking, directory submission, link exchanging, guest posting, starting your own blog or a second blog, article marketing, cover pages such as squidoo or Google’s knol and many more. If you spend at least a few hours daily either promoting or updating your blog then there is no reason that you will not be successful. When it comes to blog commenting specifically it is important to spend as much time reading as commenting. Do not jump from blog to blog leaving crappy comments because these will be rejected within a day. A blogger treats their blog with great care and usually even if you leave a good comment, but run a website within the “bad neighborhood” of the web then don’t expect to get your comment published.

Another aspect that needs to be addressed when discussing blog commenting is building your network. When you enter the blogosphere you will notice that there are at least hundreds if not thousands of blogs that are in your niche or closely related to your niche. The reason that this is important to blog commenting is when you comment on a blog that is your first communication with another person within your niche and decides whether or not you and the individual whos blog you are commenting on will have a promotional partnership. For example I commented on a blog about making money after commenting the blogger asked me to guest post if I were to comment on his blog leaving crap or spam the invitation would never have happened. The reason I got the invitation is I read the post took a minute to really think about the subject material and then commented not only adding to their thoughts, but also asking their opinion on my ideas. If you really take the time to add when blog commenting rather than only worrying about backlinks your promotional experience will be much better.
